Empathy? That is so Yesterday

I enjoy tooling around the internet, reading the various articles that Yahoo puts out defending B.O. on a daily basis.  Some of those invariably mention food stamps, and I almost always go straight to the comment section of those. Guilty as charged.
While there, I will read  from many, many lucky people who have never ever in their lives been dependent on assistance.  That must be the case, as they are very draconian in their allowances for what people should be able to buy with a food stamp.
If a person has paid into the system their entire working life, and then the time comes that they are down sized from their job, I think that they should be able to use the system that they were forced to support.  Is there a line of people monitoring your purchases if you receive unemployment? No. Because you paid into the system and you are simply getting some of your money back from it.
How is the food stamp program any different if you have paid into it?  Now understand, I am not talking about the professional moochers, illegals, and various other miscreants who have made government assistance a lifestyle.
I am talking about the hard working people who have lost their jobs because Obama is an idiot who didn't see the law of unintended consequences when it was staring him right in the face.  He also didn't listen as people who actually know what they are talking about told him that his socialized medicine scheme wouldn't work.
I am talking about the people who have lost their jobs, had their hours cut, or simply cannot afford food in addition to all of the other expenses that B.O. has laid on their shoulders.  You have to have a roof over your head.  You have to have gasoline in your car to get back and forth to your job.  Quite often that leaves food at the bottom of the list, and many people have run out of money before they get to that one.  Are they supposed to go hungry?  Or even if they are receiving help, are they supposed to adhere to a strict list of what they can and cannot buy with money that was forcibly taken from them and now they need back?  Please.
I've read varying degrees of stupidity that cry out for changes in the food stamp program.  They usually fall into one of several predictable categories.
The don't let them buy junk food or soda category. These gracious souls believe that any sort of non essential food stuff is a waste of (your) money and don't think that you should be able to buy it with the money that you had taken from you in case you ever needed it, and now need it.
The only let them buy nutritious foods that they make from scratch category.  These big hearted folks are the ones who think that anything you buy shouldn't be prepackaged, ( good bye tuna helper) frozen, (adios frozen dinners), or premade. (Hello cooking everything from cakes to biscuits from flour and other ingredients. I hope you have access to a cook book)
And my personal favorite The meat, vegetables, whole grains only crowd.  These are the ones who probably couldn't make a fried chicken from a regular chicken if their lives depended on it.  It is very easy to be sanctimonious and self righteous when you've never been down on your luck, isn't it?
The next time you see someone who has to use foodstamps, try thanking God that you aren't in their shoes.  Be grateful that you don't need any assistance right now.  Because you never know, with B.O.'s depression, you could be next.  Think about it.  You'll thank me later.

McCain=Romney=Christie. Enough Already!!

The msm has been writing about Chris Christie with breathless abandon.  Ann Coulter, a woman with an opinion I used to respect, has been writing about Christie with an almost giddy worshipful tone that is off putting.  She also endorsed Romney. Ick.
I think Christie has done good things for New Jersey. He has made them financially solvent again by reigning in the stranglehold that those unions had on his state.  They can keep him.
He also put him ham like arms around B.O. and tacitly endorsed him in the last election.  He knew what he was doing, because lo and behold! New Jersey got a butt ton of money to rebuild things that should have been covered by private insurances. Good for New Jersey, they can keep him.
While I want my President to have some experience in running a government organization, this is one governor that I'll take a pass on.  He's a blowhard.  He may be what they expect in New Jersey, but in reality he is an uncouth jerk who is too used to yelling his opponent down.  I don't want a delicate flower with genteel manners (see Romney,Mitt) or a guy who is one sandwich shy of a picnic (see McCain, John) I would like someone who won't embarrass me. (see, Obama/Soetoro, Barack/Barry)
I know the right person is out there.  They just have to throw themselves into the meat grinder of politics and understand that they are running against not just the Democrat but the msm as well.   I don't think that I would want to do that.  It's not that I wouldn't want to help our Republic, but look at what happened to Herman Cain.
He is a decent, intelligent great man with wonderful ideas. He was ground into political sausage.  I just don't think I would want my entire life under a microscope like that, would you?
So anyway, I am hoping for the next great conservative to step out and shine.  I am also hoping that the cheating that put B.O. in the oval office is removed by then.  There's a reason democrats like the saying 'vote early and often' and I hope that they are caught and punished for it someday.

John Huntsman is a Righteous Weenie

In the last election, I found myself voting for the number two position on the ticket, Paul Ryan.  He is an awesome man, a wonderful human being and an all around decent conservative.  I'm not a fan of Mitt Romney's and much like McCain, he was only the nominee because he outlasted the other, better candidates, and the GOP establishment decreed it was his "turn".  They have almost lost me.  I consider myself a conservative independent now.  Much like President Reagan thought of the democratic party, I'm not leaving the GOP, it's leaving me.
I don't quite understand the Libertarian Party either.  They seem to just want to be left alone and they have some quirky views on some things that I can't reconcile myself to support.  I understand their opinions about the war on drugs.  It's mostly an abject failure, common sense is not applied anywhere that I can see in this particular war.
But on the other hand, the social safety nets that we have in place do save many people.  I have no problem with a person in dire straights using food stamps until they can manage to get back on their feet.  Just don't make it a lifestyle, you know?  Libertarians would have all of those things removed and rely on the social programs in place.  I'm okay with that to a point, but I like the idea of a back up to the back up.
Enter John Huntsman.  He ran in the last Presidential election and he was an outside chance at best.  It has been revealed that his campaign was the one responsible for some clinton-esque leaks about two of his opponents.  One of them was Herman Cain, the man that had my initial support to be president.  When the initial mud began to be flung, I put the blame for that round of mud on team b.o.  The last thing he would have wanted to run against was a successful black man, especially one that had managed to do it without suckling at the government teat.
Ironically, the msm that had years before told me that slick willie's serial indiscretions were of zero relevance to the job he was doing, just about broke their own legs and necks to breathlessly report every drop of mud that could be scraped up about Mr. Cain and or Speaker Gingrich.  Disgusting.  One of the debates even had the lack of taste to begin with the baseless mud that was being slung at Newt Gingrich.  He did a wonderful job of dismantling that.

So now there is evidence that Huntsman not only had his team leak the information-that is to say lies- about Herman Cain, they also released a ton of dirt about Mitch Daniels, the governor of Indiana at the time.  It would seem that he would have carved away some of the share that Huntsman was clinging to, and it was decided that releasing the very personal information about Governor Daniels' divorce and marriage would remove his entrance into the presidential race.  Let me repeat: John Huntsman is a righteous weenie.
Whatever happened to running on your own ideas, and hoping that people agreed with your opinions?  The Clinton's raised personal destruction to a new level, and Huntsman just followed right through with it.  Shame on him.
Because of that righteous weenie, we were left with Romney.  And while Romney may be an excellent man, husband, father, and human being (and I believe he is) he was never ever going to win against b.o.  The msm saw to that.
The Libertarian Party clings to Huntsman, and if they want to have a shred of integrity left, they will throw him to the wolves.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

Obamacare Exempts Muslims But Not Catholics

I lost three weeks of my life which I will never see again.  It's my own fault, I wasted it trying to make sense of socialized medicine by reading through the legislation known as obamacare from cover to cover.  I read it all, but most of it doesn't make sense.  Much like the moronic unfinished code that comprises the actual computer code that is obamacare-it is mostly gibberish.  Did you know that muslims are exempted from obamacare?  That's correct-you read that right.
The guy who had a book written for him claimed that if the winds ever turned against them-he would stand with the muslims.  He wasn't lying.  The religion of peace doesn't have to fork over a huge chunk of money that they don't have to buy inflated insurance for things that they don't need.  And they don't have to pay a fine for it.  Nice benefit for being a muslim, isn't it?
Of course, Catholic Schools, Hospitals and Universities are still required to provide abortifacients- but hey!-that's different!  That is only forcing them to go against their core beliefs by providing access to abortions and abortion causing drugs.  Why, that would be like forcing muslims to buy insurance.  Hey! Wait a tick-isn't that a glaring double standard there?
I have asthma, so I'll not be holding my breath on this one, will I?
Further horror stories are being released about the nightmare of obamacare, and in a delicious bit of irony, the useless Senator from Indiana, Joe Connelly, aka obama's number one fan, has released the tidbit that his own son is losing his coverage thanks to obamacare.  That my friend, is karma in action.
I gave my son the advice to pay the fine.  Avoid obamacare like the plague, and it turns out that a leading consumer magazine has done the same thing.  It is warning people not to even go to the website for obamacare, as it is plagued with problems that could become a problem for the computer that is visiting the site.  Also, the hackers and other ne'er do wells are attacking the people who visit obamacare.  Talk about the gift that keeps on giving.
Team obama knew that the site wasn't going to work three years ago.  They new as little as three months before the big launch that the site was going to be a huge cluster hump and they did nothing to stop it.  Not   one    thing.  Just like in Benghazi, no?
Call your elected officials and demand that they pull the plug on socialized medicine.  The scheme didn't work and we are trillions more poor because of it.  Trillions.  With a T.
I have suggested before that they stop obamacare and all of the cancelled insurance policies (that b.o. swore wouldn't happen) and all of the slashed hours (that b.o. swore wouldn't happen) and try it out on the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of our government.  Let the politicians, their families, and their employees and their families try it out and work out the bugs.  After five years or so, it should have the kinks worked out and it'll be ready for the rest of us.  Think about it.  You'll thank me later.

I'm Racist? Not so Much.

Is there anyone who doesn't know how I feel about Obama?  I cannot imagine that someone could peruse even two of my posts and not understand that I believe he is trying wholeheartedly to destroy our Republic.  He doesn't think like an American.  He doesn't act like an American, and until someone shows me differently, I agree with Sheriff Arpaio- he isn't an American.
But the reason for the introduction is that I am so very tired of those who would disagree with me simply attempting to dismiss me as a racist to belittle my opinion.  Racist, much like homophobe, has become the go to word when a person of liberal persuasion is trying to shut down a conversation.  This is political correctness run amok.
I don't care if you want to spend your life living and loving a person of the same sex.  I don't want to see it, though.  I surely don't want to support it with my taxes or subsidize it in any way.  As soon as the Boy Scouts made their heinous decision, I pulled my sons from scouting.  Luckily, my church is involved in a new program that will be much like scouting used to be.  The membership is ballooning, and best of all, no more worries about homosexuals having access to my children.
When I voiced this opinion in no uncertain terms on facebook-I was "unfriended" by a lesbian that I knew.  She is the friend of a friend, so to speak.  She "married" some woman in Canada about five years ago, and that lasted about ten minutes.  Then, without any sort of divorce or whatever it is that two homosexuals do when they decide to stop playing married, she moved on to the next one.  My avowed belief that marriage takes one of each caught her by surprise I guess.  You can read it in a post of mine- Another Lesbian writes me off.  It's one of my favorites.  But to get back to the point I was tenuously making, I'm not a homophobe.  I don't believe that God made anyone homosexual.  No more than he made them pedophiles.  I do think that people take the wrong turn in life, that sometimes people make horrendous choices.  I would put homosexuality on that list.
As for being racist?  That accusation is a swing and a miss as well.  I don't have a problem with any color of person, so long as they are honest, fair, and hard working.  I would never invite someone to move into my home so that I could work twice as hard and give them half of my things.  I won't do that with our borders, either.  In four simple words: anchor babies, go home.  But now that I have cleared the air with my anti-homosexual, anti-illegal alien rant, I'll call it a week.  Think about what kind of nation and what kind of world you want to leave your children.  You'll thank me later.

Thank You For Your Service, You May Go Home Now

John McCain brought Sarah Palin to the national front, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.  Mrs. Palin is smart, witty, and a quick thinker who is able to box liberals into their own traps. I love her to pieces.  John McCain, however, is another story. I am grateful for his service to our country.  He needs to go home to the current wife and enjoy retirement.  He lost my support most definitively when he called me a 'whacko bird' and now, I am just over him.  He has been on the government teat for entirely too long.  He is out of touch, out of ideas, and perhaps out of his mind.  He moved faster than I have seen him move in years in an attempt to smear Senator Ted Cruz for having the audacity to fight.  McCain doesn't get it.  Perhaps he has been in the beltway for too long.  Much like Lindsey Graham has.  They don't get the idea that being a senator is not supposed to be a life's work.  It is supposed to be a part time, short period time of your life.  You shouldn't need to buy a house because you have been there for so long.  When you do that, you lose touch with your constituents- you know, the people who sent you there and pay your salary.
There should be a litmus test- each and every elected official should be asked if they will sign themselves and their families up for obamacare.  The ones who say 'no' or who dodge the question should be turned out, post haste.
The msm is trying to paint the last shutdown as a huge loss for conservatives.  How is that even possible when B.O. simply wouldn't even consider any of the bills that were passed by the House.  Of course, he didn't have to, because his enablers in the Senate were only too happy to oblige him.  Reid, who once referred to Tea Party members as trolls, put himself firmly in sights to be replaced as the Senate majority leader.
 I think that he should be impeached for not passing a budget in over five years.  They only have a handful of jobs spelled out for them in the Constitution, and passing a budget is one of them.  Giving B.O. cart blanche to spend his socialist heart out is not written into the Constitution.
2014 may well be the year of the RINO.  Not in their having a run of victories, but in the majority of them being given their walking papers, their pink slips, being shown the door.  It cannot come soon enough.  Register to vote. Then, vote.  Get involved on the local level to have more input on the National scene.  It starts at home, as they say, and the sooner a ground swell of people begin to hold their elected officials to their higher standards, the sooner we can egin to fix all of the things that have been allowed to be broken.  Get involved.   You'll thank me later.

How to Avoid Obamacare

Nancy Pelosi wasn't kidding when she told me she would have to pass the law so that I could see what was in it.  Turns out, it was a big fat giant turd sandwich.  Ms. Pelosi lost the giant gavel two years later, and I would not be surprised if Harry Reid and his sparkling personality lose the Majority next year.  He can be the minority speaker, and with any luck, his scowl will be featured less often then.
The idiots, morons, socialists who wrote the gist of Obamacare have never spoken to a person who is licensed to sell insurance.  They have never read a book about how insurance works, and they clearly have never taken a gander at how the real world works out here, away from the 'beltway.'
That is a good thing in the regard:  the way that the penalty is collected from this abomination has no teeth.  This "tax" can only be collected if you have a refund coming to you, and if you do not have a tax rebate coming to you, there is no way that the federal government can collect it.  You read that correctly.  The morons who wrote this crap didn't put any teeth in the penalty.
The way to avoid having to pay the penalty is simple-don't loan the government any of your money.
By that, I mean, if you are one of the fools who overpays your tax amount so that you can get a refund every year, you are dumb. Stop giving the feds an interest free loan.  Redo you deductions so that you have no refund coming.  This will do two things.
First, you will stop giving the government free use of your money ( it's not like they pay you interest) and two- if you are one of the millions who choose not to enroll in socialized medicine, they won't be able to penalize you.  You read that right.  The law does not provide for any way to collect the "tax" than to withhold it from your income tax rebate.  If you do not have a rebate coming to you, then you have no way for them to take your money.  They cannot access your bank accounts.  They cannot put a lien on your property.  They cannot do anything, legally, except take the money from any refund that you have coming to you. Don't set up your taxes so that you have a rebate.  You'll thank me later.

Obama Puts the 'dic' in Dictator

When Barrack Hussein Obama appeared from no where the msm heralded him as if he were a Messiah.  They overlooked the fact that he only got elected as a senator after his opponents sealed divorce records were "accidentally" released and he was drug through all of the muck that team b.o. could muster.
The msm had an absolute hissy fit at President Bush (the latter) and his lack of experience.  They bemoaned his lack of time suckling the government teat, they told me he was a cowboy, stupid, and completely unprepared to defeat Al Gore-the man who invented the internet.  Imagine their surprise when President Bush managed to win after as many shenanigans as politically possible failed to steal the election in Florida.
After President Bush, the msm was giddy at the thought of Mrs. Clinton becoming the first woman President-that is until the new Senator from Illinois threw his taqiyah into the ring.  After all, B.O. had held the job of senator for almost two months before stepping into the national ring.  That gave him almost as much experience as Hillary had before carpet bagging her way into the senate in New York State.
So there is Hillary-suddenly on the curb after considering herself a shoo in as the next democratic nominee.  A deal was struck and Hillary agreed to be Secretary of State in exchange for allowing Obama to ascend to the office for which he was totally unprepared.  While running against him, Hillary, in full Clinton mode released the information that Obama was not born in the United States, but was in fact born in Kenya.  The media yawned.  Never mind that there were signs in Kenya proudly announcing Obama's birthplace.  Never mind that there was descriptive evidence- he had even put it in his biography when he worked at Harvard.  Now, people who insist that he wasn't born here are derisively called 'birthers.' Well, birther I am, he wasn't born here.
But after Hillary was paid off,brought on board as Secretary of State, B.O. went about the business of attempting to destroy our Republic from within.  He refused to enforce our laws (borders, DOMA, etc) and he refused to submit his advisers for congressional review, instead, having 'czars' that require no congressional oversight, the way every single commander in chief has been required to do before B.O. The mysteries behind that Valerie Jarrett could fill a book.  Much like the missing background on B.O.
So now there is a judge in Alabama who must have nothing to lose.  He has allowed the case against B.O.'s eligibility to move forward, even including the mountains of evidence assembled by Sheriff Arpaio's cold case posse.  The mountain of evidence that the msm has collectively ignored/yawned over.  Picture Kevin Bacon's character in Animal House as he assures everyone that 'all is well' and you pretty much have the picture of what the msm has been doing in relation to their boy, b.o.
The government shutdown is owned 100% lock stock and barrel by B.O. and Harry Reid.  These two unprepossessing fools have not managed to pass a budget in over five years, and yet they continue to attempt to blame the politicians who are right of center as the problem. Riiiight.
Over the past weekend, b.o. has denied veterans from World War II the right to visit the memorial that was built to honor their great sacrifice.  Keep in mind, this is an open memorial requiring little if any resources to maintain.  That's right-b.o. spent more money to close it down to our veterans than it would have cost to keep it open.  What.a.tool.
This also hasn't stopped him from shutting down the amber alert system that we use to find missing or endangered children quicker.  He has kept the yeti's 'let's move' site up and running, because that is much more important than finding lost or stolen children. What.a.tool.
In another burst of obamaisms, he has put what is coming to be known as "barry-cades" around other government sites, cordoned off the Mount Rushmore site, and at one point, he even refused to let states spend their own money to keep their parks open.  He has relented on the Grand Canyon, allowing the great state of Arizona (hi Momma!) to maintain that park.  Why is the federal government even involved in these parks??
How about if we kick these parks back into state maintenance and do away with the Department of Parks all together?  Of course, it will mean firing a bunch of over paid federal workers, but if the states can do it cheaper, what are we waiting for?
Obama needs to go. We don't need a dictator. If the Republicans don't get their acts together soon, they will be on the receiving end of a pink slip also. Do you hear us, John McCain?  Ask Dick Lugar how that worked out for him.  You'll thank me later.

And Yet the Sun Still Rises

As I am writing this, we are in day three of the government shut down.  I do not know if we will still be in an apocalyptic, life altering, end of the world 15% government lay off when this makes it to being published.  If we aren't still in that aforementioned shut down-I can only hope that it isn't because Boehner caved.  I like to hope that he has been able to summon the testicular fortitude necessary to complete this shut down and rid us all of the onus that is socialized medicine.  I read today that Boehner was in "secret" meetings that with Reid in an effort to maintain the subsidies that congress receives for their insurance.  Of course it was leaked.
Reid's intention the entire time was to make Boehner look like a weasel.
I'm not saying that that is a difficult job, but Boehner is rather like Charlie Brown, expecting the football not to be pulled away. Sad.
Of course, the serial leaker from Reid's office will get off scott free.  The ms  is really hoping to whip up a case of indignation against Boehner and under cut his resolve.  They have tried libeling the Tea Party.  They have lied about the number of people who want socialized medicine, and finally that have broken the trust given to them (again) by lying about the number of people who are signing up for socialized medicine. In California alone- the msm reported over 5 million people signing up, when in fact, not even 50 thousand signed up. The people who even went to the site was only 645,000.  How can you mistake five million for six hundred thousand? They were lying, plain and simple.  They were looking to see how bad it would be.  It's bad, very very bad.
So now that the moments of hysteria have faded, I can only hope-looking into the future- that we have begun to wash the stink of socialism off of us.  I hope that Boehner has stood firm and forced B.O. into giving way on the only thing he has accomplished in six years.
It must be because of all that thought he gives to jobs, she said sarcastically.
Consider what the impact has been on you during this shutdown.  Have you lost power?  Have you had to cut back on breathing, eating or sleeping?  Has the sun still risen, the birds still sung?  How about the wind?  Not the hot air coming out of DC but the wind is still blowing.  We'll all be fine.
I think perhaps B.O. ( who hypothetically was a "professor" at Harvard teaching Constitutional Law) will realize that he isn't the king of anything and that the other two branches of government have an equal say in how things are supposed to go.
Even though Harry Reid hasn't passed a budget in over five years ( and why isn't he facing impeachment for dereliction of duty??) we can still manage to thwart B.O. and his socialist toadies.  Did you know that the majority of the "navigators" that have been hired to help you swallow socialized medicine are former ACORN workers who helped B.O. steal a couple of elections?  Kinda makes you not want to trust them with your private information, doesn't it?  Of course, with all of B.O.'s homeland security spying, it's not like they don't have it anyway.
Resist socialism. Resist tyranny.  Stand strong and keep the pressure on our elected officials.  You'll thank me later.

Shut 'er Down

Are you familiar with the story of Henny Penny?  It's a children's story about a chicken (Henny) that has an acorn fall on her head and she becomes convinced that the sky is falling.  She then attempts to convince the others around her that the sky is falling.
In the looming budget impasse and government shut down, replace Henny with B.O. and you have the exact same story.  The world is going to end as we know it is being trumpeted by b.o. and his minions in the msm.  If we don't listen to him and fund obamacare- the government will shut down and people won't be able to eat, breathe, drive or exist is the current talking points out of the beltway.
Hooey.  Did you know that in the DC area they are not experiencing b.o.'s depression like we are?  In fact, the economy is up 24% in the areas where they are able to set their own rules and not have to live by the ones inflicted on us by b.o.  Amazing how much better off we could be if we didn't have to obey those rules, isn't it?
But not us peons, thank you.  We don't get to opt out of obamacare.  We don't get subsidized housing, food and transportation.  Nope, not us.  But we do get to pay for them to have it.  Yes, indeedy.  We are the lucky sould who pay for our elected officials to maintain at least two homes.  We get to pay for their staff, their homes and upkeep, and to top it all off, we allow them to make rules for themselves that we don't get to have.
Martha Stewart went to jail for insider trading.  A friend told her his stock was about to crap out and she did what any of us would have done.  She sold it.  That sent Ms. Stewart to prison.  Nancy Pelosi does it all of the time.  Harry Reid is 12548% wealthier then he was when he went into the senate.  Why?  Because they are allowed to profit from the very inside information that they receive as members of the senate and congress.  Does that seem fair to you?
This year and in the past six years, the House of Representatives has sent over a Bill making it illegal for our elected officials to profit from insider information.  Mr. Reid will not allow it to come onto the floor for a vote.  What does that tell you?
I do not think that we will suffer catastrophic losses when the government shuts down.  We didn't in 1995 when Speaker Gingrich forced slick willie into actually living with in our means.  Not that he gets credit for it, of course.  If you read any history of the time, it was only Clinton's brilliant maneuvering which allowed him to be forced into a corner with the government shut downs which resulted in real reforms.  What a genius.  And all while he was having sex with at least three different women.  What a multitasker.
So all of that narrative came about when the msm has a choke hold on the information that was disseminated to the public.  Now, with the internet, we can bypass the msm toadies who still offer their oral services to the White House, and get the information without their 'helpful' spin. (How they must love the law of unintended consequences)
So all of that brings me to this:  the msm and b.o cannot control the message when it comes to a government shutdown.. They can still scare the low information voter who still trusts the msm for news, but the rest of us know the truth.  There isn't that much government that we really need, and the sooner we stop paying for it and others see how little government we all need- we can go about the business of whittling away the dead wood and produce a healthier leaner government for all of us.  It may mean that b.o. can no longer take the wife, kids, mother-in law, niece,and nephew on a one hundred million dollar vacay, but heck. we all have to make sacrifices, don't we?  Think about the last vacation you took.  Was it a weekend away- or a tenth of a billion dollar raping of the public trust and economy?  You'll thank me later.

Golly! Obama Sure Does Throw a lot of Women Under the Bus, Doesn't He?

Kathleen Sebelius has a lot of company. As of October 23,2013, she has joined Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice under the bus.  All three of these stupid women put their reputations on the line for him and how did he thank them? By making them look like lying, ineffectual, doddering fools, that's how.
On September 11, 2012 our embassy in Benghazi was attacked and four people were killed.  While there is rampant speculation that they were in fact running guns to arm the opposition in the area ( a charge that if proven sure sounds like Fast and Furious Islamic Style) team B.O. sent the uber sop Susan Rice out to all of the Sunday morning "news" programs to tout the moronic idea that it wasn't the anniversary of September 11th that caused all of those mud dwellers to rise up and murder in the most heinous way possible our Ambassador and three others. If that were the case, two months before an election, mind you, why that would make B.O. look the leader that he is- wholly ineffectual.  So Ms.Rice drew the short straw and made the rounds, lying her head off and blaming the terrorist attack on an obscure youtube video that hadn't been seen by anyone.  That's one chick under the wheels.
Fast forward to Republicans wanting some answers as to why the people who could have helped on that night were told to 'stand down' and why B.O. was more interested in getting a good night's sleep then he was in being a leader.
Mrs. Clinton-ugly birth control glasses and all-finally showed her true colors when she slammed her hands down on the desk in front of her and uttered the end of her political aspirations, "At this point, what difference does it make?"  If there were any words she could pull back-besides the moonbat crazy 'right wing conspiracy' to explain slick willie's penchant for hummers from fat chicks in the Oval office-it would be those.  She also touted the known lie about an obscure video from some dupe.  Said dupe was promptly arrested for something else, and has since dropped of the planet as far as the media is concerned.  She and D.B. Cooper have become a myth as far as the msm is concerned.
Now enters Ms. Sebelius.  I bet she thought it was a great idea to be in charge of socialized medicine back when it was offered to her.  Now she comes out today and tells the world (with a straight face, mind you) that Barrack Hussein Obama-the most ham fisted, overly controlling, useless president in a generation, had 'No idea that obamacare wasn't ready for the public'!!
I squirted coffee out of my nose when I read that little bon mot.  Seriously?? What does he have over these women that he can force them to make such career ending comments for him?
And why is it that he never throws a man under that bus?  For the champion of women's rights, you would think that those crones over at NOW could maybe take a gander at his track record and stop the endless fawning.  Of course, that would entail admitting to their endless list of mistakes, and we all know that that isn't happening.  Remember how many of those feminist weasels still supported slick willie even after it was proven that he had lied about one intern and had lied about sexually harassing another?  I guess all of their credibility being blown away was worth it to them to be able to continue being able to suction babies from their wombs, who knows?
Consider these things when you vote in 2014.  Do you really want such an avid woman hater to have unchecked power for two years?  You'll thank me later.

Minimum Wage Strikes

I had to walk through a line of three people shuffling outside a McDonald's last week.  They were holding homemade signs that demanded $10.00 an hour.  They called it a living wage.  Heck, make it $15.00 so they can live even better, right?  The irony of that is that thanks to obamacare- even if they were making $15.00 an hour, with the 29 hours they would be scheduled, they still couldn't live on it! 
 If obamacare  isn't repealed and defunded, burger flippers aren't the only ones who will be holding up signs.  Unfortunately, the signs will say 'Will work for Food' and we'll all be holding one.  Socializing over twenty percent of the economy is so stupid, even the Congress has voted themselves out of it.  Pity we don't get that option, huh?
Of course-two brave Senators-Cruz and Lee are threatening to filibuster the budget amendment.  Rubio is making some sort of me too, noise, but he is probably still massaging his colon after the pounding it took when he was used by McCain. The msm, in typical hubris is screaming that this is the law of the land!!! This is already settled and we won-neener neener.  I guess they have never heard of things being overturned.  The laws that Democrats put in place to keep minorities from voting were overturned, the laws that were in place to tax people to vote-also put in place by Democrats- were overturned. It happens, they may as well get used to the idea.
Of course, the old guard GOP is only too happy to go along with whatever they are told to do.  McConnell and company are only in the position they are because the Tea Party has saved them from political obscurity.  Like the Tories. Like the Whigs.
The old guard of the GOP-McCain for example- is only too happy to take the momentum that is offered by the Tea Party-but then expect us to sit in the back of the bus and know our place.
But all of that is off topic from the idiots who are asking,demanding, striking for the unrealistic wage of ten dollars per hour to flip burgers.
If your only skill set is working at a fast food place, maybe you should look into some sort of education for yourself.  The military offers excellent training for people, and they pay you.  How cool is that?
Minimum wage jobs are not meant to be a lifestyle.  They are meant to be a starter job.  Something that will give you skills to take with you to your next, hopefully better job.  Can you imagine the inflation if these clowns are actually successful?
We don't live in a vacuum, those ten dollar an hour jobs will create seven dollar hamburgers.  No more cheap fast food, it will be a dead thing of the past.  That in turn will cause the restaurants to fire people and it will be all George W. Bush's fault.
President Reagan said the best social program is a job.  When obamacare is repealed and replaced with something that will stop the depression we are in, it will be a much better world. Those old guard politicians (from both parties) better get used to the idea.  They'll thank me later.

What Kind of Loser Advertises on MSNBC?

I was tooling through Facebook this afternoon, and I saw the daily dose of stupidity/idiocy from Schultz and Matthews.  It's kind of handy, it saves all the aggravation of actually having to watch it.  But that made me curious, so I did a little research into the viewership of these two backbones of excessive liberal broadcasting.
On the night in question, Ed Schulz had almost a million viewers.  Not. even. one. million.  While that may sound like a big deal, realize that if he were a local program in New York City or Los Angeles, he wouldn't even be getting a decent market share!
Estimating that there are 250,000,000 people in the United States of America, this rotund loser pulls in a whopping .025 percent of them.  Yikes!
Chris 'Tingle' Matthews doesn't do any better.  He has been shuffled around more than a disruptive foster child, just hoping to find that liberal loser who 1) still has a job or 2) still pays for cable television.  I think at least ten percent of the viewership for either of these losers is probably people who watch it simply to post the latest bat crap crazy thing they've said on FaceBook.
I don't know why conservatives agree to be on the programs in the first place.  Here is the standard operating procedure for these liberal programs. First, you have a crazy host who advocates for whatever crazy socialist idea that B.O. has dreamed up this week.  Second, you put two sycophants on the discussion panel who will agree lock step with whatever is spewed by the host. Finally, you find one person (the dumber the better) to advocate the conservative position, and spend the entire segment being shouted down by the other three.
I quite watching that years ago.  There was a time when Fox News was so refreshing, they actually had conservative hosts, with conservative guests who didn't allow the liberals to shout them down.  I guess I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it, Fox News kicks butt and takes names in the ratings.
Of course, Fox still offers the token liberal.  Bob Beckal or Juan Williams usually stand in for the current administration.  I don't understand Mr. Williams.  He was fired from Public Broadcasting for stating his opinion- one of the few that I agree with.  He said that he gets nervous when he is flying and he sees someone in a habib or in muslim garb.  I do also.  It probably has something to do with the group of them flying our airplanes into our buildings.  Maybe that's it.
I know that when I am looking to advertise my business, I look for the programs and areas that people are actually watching.  The losers who are using MSNBC must be truly desperate.  Or related to each other.  Same difference.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

A Trip to the Social Security Building or the Third Circle Of Hell?

I had to get a copy of my Social Security Card this week and I (foolishly) thought it would be faster to just make a trip to the Social Security Office to pick it up.  I was there 20 minutes after they opened and I was 56th in line.  I took a number.  I looked around and I began to wonder a few things.
First of all, why do we pay an armed guard to sit there for the whole day?  It used to be a real police officer, and I guess enough people asked why we were paying someone over 30k a year to just sit there at a desk and read.  Now we pay a renta-cop who knows what to just sit there.
Are they expecting trouble from the flood of retirees and disabled folk?  I suppose that they guy with crutches, and the couple that are 150 years old combined might start some trouble, but it would be short in duration, I'll bet.
Is there any trouble that the renta cop is better trained to stop then the fifty or so of us who are short tempered from sitting there for over an hour? I'll bet not.
Second, three of the people who were there worked alone at a computer for the entire time that I was there, never once helping anyone.  What are they doing that is so important that they couldn't help the one person who was sitting at a desk helping and the one person who was behind the counter helping?
Third, what are we paying those people, clearly it is too much.  The average wait that I saw was forty two minutes.  If it takes almost an hour for a person to be helped, why aren't there more people helping?  Even Walmart is fluid with there scheduling.  How about if you have more people there on busy days- say Monday and Friday- and less people there on Tuesday?  That's just crazy enough to work.
Also, why does it take over 15 people to run an office?  Couldn't we streamline that into- say seven?  I'm thinking about all of the ridiculous benefits that we were paying those people to sit at a computer and eat a bagel.  That's crazy.
I guess the sequester didn't cover that.  It only stopped school children from touring the White House.
We must find a way to make our government more responsive to us, the people who are paying for it.  We pay them too much, and don't get a fair value for our money.  Why do they work banker's hours?  No one else does, anymore.
How about if they start rearranging their workers so that they can be open longer than just eight to three?  They certainly have enough people on the payroll if they staggered them out.  I would think that they have enough people in that office to be open 24 hours a day.  I have seen convenience stores manage it with only five people on the payroll.  You would think the United States Government could figure it out if a Jiffy Store can,

2+ Part Time Jobs is the New Full Time

Because B.O. and his pals that crafted obamacare never bothered to consult with a licensed insurance person while they were crafting their socialized medicine plan, the tax, penalty, boondoggle is about to implode all over the rest of us.  Unless you have been fortunate enough to work for the United States federal government that is.  Or one of the unions. Or any of the other politically connected groups to whom b.o. has been handing out waivers.  He's been handing out pay  offs, that is waivers, like kleenex at a screening of Steel Magnolias.
But here we have the rubber hitting the road, so to speak, and the truth of this horrendous socialized boondoggle is finally soaking in to people.  If you used to pay $142 dollars for your individual insurance policy per month, you are about to start paying  $282.56 per month if you are a man and $230.84 if you are female.  Of course these are averages, many people will be dropped and forced into the exchanges where you can "shop" around to find the plan that hurts your tukas the least.
Still can't afford it? Well that's too bad. The tax credits that were supposed to help people pay for the socialized helping of gruel have been going out like party favors to those poor souls in the unions who are struggling to make ends meet with their $38 an hour jobs.  Yeah, they have it rough.
One of the prime hunks of idiocy in this craptacular piece of legislation is the get out of jail free card for employers.  Full time is now classified as more than 30 hours per week.  What kind of amateur* political newbie, with less than six months of experience, wouldn't see that employers would simply cut hours to less than 30? 
It's not the fault of the businesses either.  They are there specifically to make money, that's what they do, and if obamacare is going to cost them money (and boy is it!) then they would be stupid not to do what they had to do to avoid those costs.  B.O. and his cronies never took a second to consider their repercussions with this monstrosity.  More scary is the thought that they did.   Could you sleep at night if you thought that b.o. was doing this on purpose, that this was all part of a plan- say spelled out in Rules for Radicals? Me neither.  I average about five hours a night now.
And while the  folks over at Yahoo have helpfully run a new pro-obamacare piece every day for the last six weeks, most people are looking at their dwindling paychecks and wondering how they can get out of this hot mess.  How in the world are they going to find another part time job to supplement the one they have now?  And how in the world are they going to coordinate the hours so that nothing overlaps? And finally, with real unemployment sitting at 20% where is this magic new job going to come from, anyway?
While b.o. is jetting around Africa with his wife, two daughters, mother in law, niece, nephew and assorted toadies for thirty days,(man was it smart of him to exclude himself from his sequester) the rest of us are looking at the mess he has made of our lives and wondering how to fix it.  The price of groceries has risen 28% more than the average person's take home pay. Beef is becoming a luxury, and the need for food stamps has also skyrocketed.  Hard working people are being forced to ask for government assistance in record numbers just to make sure that they and their children don't have to go to bed hungry. Pathetic.
The price of a gallon of gasoline has almost tripled under b.o.'s tenure.  His "war" on coal has caused electricity prices to sky rocket, and while he has no problem using Air Force 1 as his own private taxi service, along with Marine 1 to haul his dogs to Martha's Vineyard for his third of nine get- aways.  He has sent those children to Mexico on Spring break, he's sent the yeti to Aspen for skiing, he has taken more vacations this year alone, than most people have taken in the last five years.  But then, he's excluded from obamacare, isn't he?  He (and his cohorts)  have wisely excluded themselves from this hot mess.
We're screwed.  Our only hope is that Boehner grows a pair of testicles and forces b.o. to back off the implementation of socialized medicine for at least another year.  And when your only hope is testicular fortitude from the current Speaker of the House, you really have no hope.
Pray for our Republic. You'll thank me later.  God help us all.

Slick Willie vs Shellie Zimmerman

Do you remember when the consensus was that Clinton had only lied about sex, so that wasn't perjury perjury, it was only fibbing?  I do too.  My how times have changed.
Shellie Zimmerman was charged and convicted of perjury in the matter of the bail that was set after her husband, George, was falsely arrested for saving his own life.
Clinton was in the middle of being the first sitting president of the United States of America to be sued for sexual harassment.  He lied about everything in his deposition from start to finish. He lied about exposing himself. He lied about what he said, and when he said it. But the lie that landed him in the history books was the one about Ms. Lewinsky.  He did have sex with that woman. He did tell people to lie, and all the finger wagging and wasted bomb strikes in the world couldn't change that.  The media-at the time so far up his hiney that they could give him a clean bill of health on his prostate-immediately went into overdrive.  They told us that lies about sex don't count.  They told us that everyone in Europe thought we were just being silly.  They told us that it was no big deal that he lied, as it was a teeny, tiny sex lie, and everyone knows that those don't really count.
Fast forward to Mrs. Zimmerman.  When bail was being set for her husband's witch hunt arrest- she didn't give the judge any more information than what he asked for. ( I think they call that not incriminating yourself) The Zimmerman's had accrued a sizable amount of donations from other people who felt that the stand your ground law in Florida covered the case and that George Zimmerman was being sacrificed on the alter of the msm's anti gun campaign. 
Mrs. Zimmerman didn't inform the judge of these donations and now she is being strung up as a scofflaw of the highest order.  Luckily, she was able to plead to lesser charges and will still be able to get her license in nursing.  Why was she charged at all?  If lies about sex aren't perjury perjury, then why are lies about money?
I don't suppose that it has anything to do with the agenda of the msm do you?  I mean, they had tried and convicted her husband for the serious crime of not allowing himself to be beaten to death by a drugged up gangsta wannabe- how could they not want to see someone pay after those fools in Florida let him get away with defending himself?
I write about this all of the time, but please-don't let the media color your judgements.  Look at all of the facts before you make up your mind about things, and don't even consider making a decision until you have double checked what the main stream media has assured you is the truth.  You'll thank me later.

Just Where Did Syria Get Those WMDs Anyway?

Early in President George W. Bush's first term he had to deal with Bill Clinton's incompetence after air planes were flown into the Twin Towers.  Had Slick Willie shown the least bit of interest in taking Bin Laden when he was offered to the United States on a silver platter by Pakistan, hundreds of thousands of people would still be alive today.  Instead, Slick concentrated on receiving oral sex from an unpaid intern.
Fast forward to President Bush's dilemma  and you have a president who promptly took the matter into hand and cleaned out Afghanistan of Al-Qaeda and then did the same in Iraq-the place where the money was coming from. One of the main reasons that President Bush authorized the invasion into Iraq was the intelligence report that Hussein was actively trying to get weapons grade uranium.
So now we have B.O. and he has decided that Syria needs an intervention.  To date, the only "ally" willing to help out is France.  Great Britain gave a resounding no to their Prime Minister's request, leaving enough egg on faces to ricochet across the Atlantic.
Ignore all of the past quotes from our vacationer in chief and you still have an ironic soup to dip in to.  B.O. quotes about demanding congressional approval were everywhere during Iraq- but now you have to only look and there they are for all to see.  Liberal hypocrisy at its finest.
Biden, Pelosi, and a host of liberal mouth pieces were in histrionics at the very thought of rescuing women and children from government sanctioned rape rooms.  In the end, when all of the barbaric tortures were exposed-without much help from the msm thankyouverymuch- the only carp that the liberals could produce was that the wmds were never found.  Golly, we only gave Hussein about six weeks to get rid of them, what did they think was going to happen anyway?
But, much like the liberal perpetuated lie that algore won in 2000, the wmds were the only stick that libs could scrape up to beat their anti military drums.  Now, would you look at this?  It would seem that Syria has laughingly danced across B.O.'s "red line" and gassed many many many people with the very wmds that libs from here to there claimed never existed in the first place.
Of course, the msm isn't very interested in the origin of those weapons.  Much like their lack of interest in all the folks being killed south of our border and in our own backyard by Eric Holder's illegal gun give away- the media is, for the most part, taking a giant pass on any stories about how Syria acquired those wmds.
The only country willing to help with B.O.'s latest international catastrophe is France.  Yeah that'll work out well.  France has never won a war in their history.
Call your congressional employee and tell them how you feel about B.O.'s latest foreign policy screw up.  Do we have a dog in this fight?  Do we have any interests that will be helped by muslims controlling another area thanks to B.O.?  You'll thank me later.

Let Them Eat Cake

Marie Antoinette was not very concerned with the common people who were starving.  She suggested the cake menu to them when told that they were starving.  Congress and B.O. had a very similar response when they found out that their families and their staff would be paying much much much more for health insurance under Obamacare-and they would in fact be losing some of their sweet benefits.
What was their reaction?  Why, to exempt themselves of course!  Not one of them has to deal with the onus that they created for the rest of us.  Not one single congress person or senator has to sort through the higher premiums of obamacare.  Not one single judge or justice has to dig through the volumes of paperwork and write a larger check for their health care.  That's convenient for them, isn't it?

It's a lot like a person reading their own electric meter and deciding what they owe.  Where in the world can I sign up for something like that?  For that matter, why can't we all be excluded?
 B.O. has delayed the employer mandate for one year.  That is pretty handy for him, as the elections are coming up, and it's not looking like a great year for the democrats who foisted this train wreck upon us.  When Pelosi said we would have to pass it to see what was in it, she wasn't kidding.  Now, not one single politician is running their re election on the platform that they voted for the biggest leap toward socialism we have had since FDR was president.
The state that I live in has declined to set up the exchanges that will be needed so that people can "shop" for health insurance.  Most of the states have done the same thing.  That means one more delay, on more debacle for B.O. to "fix" if he ever stops vacationing.  Poor guy- he was so tired after hauling his wife, two children, mother-in-law, and niece and nephew all over Africa for 17 days that he needed a month in Martha's Vineyard.  Poor guy.
I didn't think that B.O. could arbitrarily delay parts of a law once it's signed into being.  As a constitutional professor from Harvard, I would have thought he would have all the ins and outs on what a president was allowed to do.  Maybe not.
But the Constitution aside- B.O. has decided that employers will have another year before they have to start dealing with all of the many headaches that obamacare will be bringing.  The response of most employers?  They have cut most employees hours so that they are no part time employees.  Now they don't have to provide insurance for those part timers.  Of course, the employee will now need another job to cover the hours they just lost.  Unless of course, they can feed their family on 32 hours a week. 
Can you imagine how complicated your week will be when you have to coordinate two work schedules and get yourself back and forth to both of them?  What happens when your days off don't coincide?  Is it possible that a day off will mean only having to go to one job?  If that's the future you are facing-thank an idiot that voted for Obama.  It's their fault too.  In the mean time, I'll save the want ads for you, and you can thank me later.

Al Sharpton is 0-for

Do you remember who Tawana Brawley is?  If you were alive during the 80's you may recall that this liar was a fifteen year old girl who stayed out for a few days and tried to cover it up by claiming she was raped by four men.  The rape kit proved that she hadn't been raped.  Her testimony fell apart, much like the lives of the four men she lied about.  A few weeks ago she began paying restitution to at least one of the men she falsely accused of raping her and stuffing her in a garbage bag.  She has to pay him a little less than a half of a million dollars.  I hope she writes that check every week-knowing what a hot mess she is.
Of course, she couldn't have done it alone.  Reverend Al ( is that racial unrest I can stir up) Sharpton was right in the thick of it, he loves a camera almost as much as Bill Clinton.  He never missed an opportunity to hold a press conference-he had them almost daily there for a while.
He complained about the injustice to black people served daily by the evil whites.  He complained about the system that discriminated against black people and made them born victims.  He complained about the four men who supposedly took Tawawna Brawley and held her hostage for four days-all the while beating and raping her.  He complained when they weren't arrested right away- and then he complained that they weren't arrested sooner.
Of course- the dna test from the rape kit performed on Miss Brawley came back one hundred percent negative.  So either these four men were able to beat, rape, and force Miss Brawley into a garbage bag without leaving one single shred of evidence- or- as the rape kit confirmed- she lied about the entire incident.  That must be one proud parent she has there.
Fast forward to 2013.  Business has been rather slow in the race baiting business, when all of a sudden a golden apple lands in the laps of Reverends Fake Raped and Baby Daddy.  Hold the presses!  Before you can say slave reparations those two "reverends" are holding press conferences, offering counsel, and counting the money of a potential gold mine.  A fresh faced, cherubic little angel has been murdered by an evil white guy who drove around stalking little kids who were only trying to deliver soup to their sick grandmother buy a snack and a bottle of tea.
The only problem with that scenario is that the cherubic little angel 1) wasn't an angel he was a hulking thug 2) he had been suspended for having theft tools and a load of stolen jewelry on his person, 3) he had marijuana in his system and 4) he initiated the confrontation.
None of this stopped Reverend Make a buck.  Before you could say false accusation- the msm and our two leading race agitators were holding press conferences and trying to grow another crop of racial unrest and another big payoff.
Thankfully- the man who saved his own life by stopping that not so little felon- was acquitted.  No thanks to Reverends Fake Rape and Baby Daddy.  There is no money to be had in the sad tired story of a young black man committing  robberies.
So ask yourself yourself just what it is that Al Sharpton is selling.  It isn't God's word, and he doesn't seem to be very good at it. He is 0 for 2 after all.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.
  

You're Not Supposed to be Able to Live on Minimum Wage!

If you are counting on a minimum wage job as a means to have a life-you probably didn't pay attention as you were growing up.  I just finished reading an article online that there is a movement to increase the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.  Other than obamacare, I cannot think of anything that will kill hiring any faster.
If you are being paid minimum wage, no offense to your job skills, but you are not all that valuable to the work market.  You can be replaced with another person who walks in off of the street, pretty quickly.  Minimum wage jobs are supposed to give you job skills that you will build on and increase your worth to the competitive market place.  They are not supposed to be a life style.
The very first job that I had paid $3.50 an hour. I answered phones and waited tables in a pizza place.  I lasted a little over a year in that job, and the biggest thing that I learned was that I wanted to finish my education so that I could make more money.  I had ambition- I knew that a McJob was never going to fill my needs in the long term.  I was motivated to improve myself and get a better job. I learned a lot about what it would take to get and keep a better job, especially in a stress filled situation.  It has served me well.  If I were still working in a minimum wage job, I believe I would be tempted to shoot myself.
Do you realize what the cost of things will become if the workers were required to be paid $10.10 an hour?  Goodbye one dollar burgers, everything would double or triple in price.
Of course, the real motivation behind raising the minimum wage to such an unsustainable amount has nothing to do with giving people with zero job skills a better life, because it wouldn't do that.  They would be in the same boat- the cost of everything would increase. Food, shelter, fuel, clothing, it would all go up.  That is, it would go up even higher than it already has thanks to B.O.'s tidy little depression.
But the dirtiest secret behind this sudden "desire" to make the minimum wage a living wage has nothing to do with concern for people with few job skills.
The real reason behind this sudden desire to tank the economy even more, raise the minimum wage is one great big giant reach around for the unions.  You see, they base their wage demands on an extrapolation of the minimum wage.  That is to say, if minimum wage is three dollars, than their workers get three times the minimum wage, or nine dollars an hour.  See the payola?  This is just one more attempt by B.O. and his cronies to keep thanking the unions that he screwed over with obamacare.  Don't fall for it.  Even if you are stuck in a minimum wage starter job- don't fall for it.  Do you want to pay seven dollars for a gallon of milk?  You would be better off getting an education- and not majoring in romance languages- but a REAL education.  Then you can support yourself and your family, maybe even pay it forward.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

There is a local "newspaper" in the town I live in.  It owns several small town papers in this area.  It is to news what B.O. is to leadership.  Technically, it is what is described as, in reality-not so much.  The views of the owner are screamed from every page that trumpets b.o.'s successes (few that they are) and decries every mean, awful, Republican for taking the food from babies' mouths.
Some years back this town had a strike at one of the foundries.  In 1999, they couldn't make it on an hourly wage of around $15.00 plus insurance and other benefits.  They wanted more salary, plus they wanted the foundry to pay more of their insurance premiums.  The foundry said no.  The union voted and went on strike. These people who had been making $15.00 -$19.00 an hour were immediately eligible for food stamps and a host of other benefits.  I guess it was hard to save anything away when you are bringing home $680.00 a week before over time.  So, long story shorter- the union voted to strike and the newspaper (whose son worked at the foundry) backed them up one hundred percent.  Stories of unsafe practices were printed.  Horror stories from workers who didn't feel safe emerged.  The "newspaper" printed every one of them, every day for weeks.
Then, one day, a driver was delivering something to this foundry.  He had no dog in the fight, so to speak.  He was simply trying to earn his living by doing what he was paid to do.  The striking workers hauled him from his truck and beat him so severely that he almost died.  He lost the sight of one eye and all of it was because he was doing his job, and some jerks thought that he shouldn't be able to earn a living if they didn't want to earn one.  Two people went to jail, not that you would have known from the local "news" paper.  The foundry in question closed its doors and relocated to another facility. Three hundred people went from making $15.00 to $19.00 dollars an hour to making $10.00 at the new facility. Go union.  The paper made not a peep about the causes, only lamented the end of the foundry.  What did they think would happen?
Fast forward to this week: I got an email from someone who had received a mailing from a car dealership.  The mailing said that this person was guaranteed to win a prize for coming in to discuss the vehicles that were for sale.  The prizes were 10k, a couple of ipod minis, $350, a gift card, or $150.  Every one won the gift card.
When this person went to the web site relating to this gift card, what they found was a scam.  ShoppingCardStore.com is the provider of the "prize" that all of these people won.  It is filled with third rate merchandise, and the kicker is- when you have completed you shopping spree- you are on the hook for the shipping charges.  Of course, these shipping charges can't be paid with the shopping card-they must be paid with a debit or credit card. Can you see the scam yet?
So- the person who contacted me had called this car dealership to complain.  The dealership basically blew them off.  First, the story was that the promotion came to try and drive in more used cars.  Then the story evolved to perhaps the person in charge didn't do enough due diligence.  Finally, the dealership offered a car detail and an oil change (retail value: $12.00) to make it all go away.  This person politely declined.
When a letter to the editor was submitted, the local paper said that they couldn't print it because it mentioned the local business by name (who just so happens to bill thousands of dollars in advertising with the paper) and suggested they try the BBB.
So in irritation- I was sent an email.  I did thirty minutes of investigation and found out more in that half an hour than the newspaper was willing to try and find.  They won't have to worry about a Pulitzer Prize, that's for sure.  So the point of this (believe it or not) is to be very careful when you are reading your local small town paper.  It's not just what they print- it's also what they leave out.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

But What About Chicago, Mr. Obama?

In his latest diversion, race-baiting, show of utter incompetence, B.O. has said that the jury has spoken, accept the verdict.  In the next breath, he is threatening to use his favorite chained dog, the Department of Justice to try George Zimmerman on federal charges.  What an awesome waste of tax payer funds.
Since he is clearly so worried about the deaths of minorities, when can we expect him or his minions to do something about the spiking death rates in his adopted hometown of Chicago?
Since overruling the second amendment and making lawful gun ownership a crime there- the rates for violent crimes has skyrocketed! Who would have ever foreseen that criminals would take advantage of unarmed citizens?? It's simply crazy, I know.
So now that B.O.'s right hand man Rahm Emmanuel is calling the shots in Chicago -is that a preview of what our number one vacation taker would like to see for the rest of the nation? I think that it is. While B.O. is vacationing in Martha's Vineyard (again) this week- at least one hundred people will be shot in Chicago.
If Obama is so worried about the violence that was caused by one wannabe gang banger getting himself shot- why hasn't he done anything about Chicago?  Why hasn't he done anything about the overwhelming black on black violence that plagues inner cities?  Why hasn't he done anything about the growing unemployment for blacks? Why hasn't he lowered instead of raised the amount of black people living below the poverty level?
When will B.O. step in front of a camera and condemn the three blacks that were beating a white person?  When will he condemn the black youth that shot a toddler in the face?  For that matter, when will B.O. start being concerned with all Americans and not just the ones who vote in blocks?
Blacks. whites, browns, plaids are all sinking lower because of Barrak Hussein Soetoro Obama.  He is not a good leader, he is not a good executive.  He takes a vacation pretty well, he passes off blame to others pretty well, other than that, I haven't really seen his strong suits.  Chicago and even more so Detroit are the future of the United States of America if we don't stop his socialist agenda.  Vote his agenda and his minions out.  You'll thank me later.

www.ShoppingCardStore.com is a Big Fat Scam

A friend of mine-who is normally very sensible when it comes to money- falls for every in mail pitch that he receives.  He fills out the paper work for publisher's clearing house, he enters contests all the time.  He recently received one from a local Car Dealership-Ben Davis.
The pitch from Ben Davis was that you automatically won something.  It was either $10,000 in cash, a couple of ipods, a gift card, or $150 in cash.  Everyone won the gift card for $300.00 worth of merchandise. Here is the problem:  the gift card is from some low rent crappy business called ShoppingCardStore.com.  There was a time when they were called the GiftCardStore.com but they had to stop using that name when the complaints started pouring in.  Here is how the scam works:  You receive this card as a "prize" and then you go to their web site.
That is dangerous in and of itself, when I accessed the website my firewall had to remove a virus attempt.  So be warned.  Next, you are directed to their site where yo may choose from several items, all of them of Fingerhut quality.
Next, you will be hit with a handling charge-that you cannot use this "gift card" to pay.  Have you spotted the scam yet?
In addition, there is a $5.00 processing fee.  So you may well end up paying $90.00 for a bunch of free crappy stuff that you could have easily purchased at any dollar store.
Avoid VCard if you can at all.  You may also want to avoid www.ShoppingCardStore.com as well.  They are not a legitimate, fair or honest company.  You'll thank me later.


I received a comment by someone who had been scammed by ShoppingCardStore.com    The first thing you want to do is contact your bank and tell them it was fraudulent.  They can stop payment on the money that you sent to these scammers. It may take a few weeks, but you should get your money back.  I hope that helps.

Part Time is the New Full Time (just don't try to feed your kids with it)

Obama care is the law of the land. (Thanks Roberts, you toady fool) They had to pass it to see what was in it, and now that people are seeing it- they are also seeing red.  Following exactly what many conservative groups said would happen (and which the msm and others poo- pooed) most businesses are cutting their full time employees down to part time hours so as not to have to provide them with insurance.
Who didn't see this coming?  I know I saw it coming as soon as Roberts was shown a picture, video or whatever it was that caused him to endorse this debacle with a strangle hold on our economy.  So what is the solution?
Instead of paying people for 40 hours of work- many many employers are simply cutting the hours that they schedule their employees to work.  Walmart perfected this practice years ago- it began scheduling  full time employees a maximum of 38 hours.  Try feeding your family and having a life with 38 hours on a paycheck. I dare you.
A lot of people are having to work two jobs now.  That part is kind of tricky, they had a hard enough time finding one job-now they have to have two of them.  They also have to work out the scheduling for these two part time jobs and still try and maintain any kind of home/personal life.
On top of that- the benefits for working part time are practically non existent.  Good luck with that.  Thanks to b.o. a person who used to have a mediocre job that could pay the bills if not much else-now has a part time job.  They have no benefits.  They have no insurance.  They do have a giant bill in the form of their obamacare policy.  The cheapest one starts out around 6K. 
So start calling your elected officials.  Put pressure on them to repeal this debacle.  Support those Governors that are refusing to set up the exchanges.  Death from a thousand cuts is the only way to kill this socialized monster.  Trust me.  You'll thank me later.

Paula Deen Makes the Best Pecan Pie in the World!!

Was Richard Pryor a racist?  How about Chris Rock? Tyler Perry?  Maybe Eddie Murphy was a racist?  I'm just listing the comedians that I can think of off the top of my head that have used the word that Paula Deen is being castigated for using.
Ms. Deen grew up in the south.  That word, while ugly and demeaning, was used quite frequently in the south, and for that matter I have heard it quite a bit while living in the northern area.  My ex father in law was the mental and racial equivalent of Archie Bunker.  He liked to throw that ugly word around when ever he got the chance.  It wasn't until my son was punished for using that ignorant, hate filled word that he adjusted it to 'noogle'.  What can I tell you?  He was a stupid, ignorant man who was raised by stupid ignorant people.  I scraped his useless son off my shoes and didn't look back.
The difference is that Paula Deen used the word in the fifties.  The ignorant father in law used it in the last few years before he died.
What do my ignorant ex father in law and Richard Pryor have in common besides being on the other side of the turf?  They both threw that word around like it was nothing. Chris Rock (one of the most racist performers I have ever witnessed) throws that word around as well.  Eddie Murphy at least had the benefit of being funny, but I have heard him drop the n-bomb as well.  Is it okay if you are black?
I used to love Nick at Nite when it had the old sit coms from the sixties-Get Smart, the Monkees, Laugh In. Those were hilarious!  Then it moved forward and had programs that I grew up with- The Jefferson's, All in the Family, Alice. Not nearly as funny.  But while George Jefferson could call his white neighbor (portrayed as a kindly idiot of course) a honky- that was fine.  Let Archie Bunker call one black person by the n word and stop the presses!  The politically correct crowd was screaming from the roof tops.  Boycotts! Embargoes! Letters to stations were reportedly on their way.  Even Reverend Baby Daddy and everyone's favorite opportunist Al Sharpton got in on the action.
Everyone's favorite felon Martha Stewart was able to rehabilitate her image after spending a year in jail for the felony of insider trading.  She came out of her white collar prison and took up where she left off.  There were no cries for boycotts.  Kmart and others still sell her merchandise.  Her business empire is still going along swimmingly.  So a stupid felony (that I would have committed also) is acceptable-but a word from decades ago isn't?  That is quite the double standard.
My point is this: Paula Deen used an ugly word a long time ago.  She apologized for it.  The accusation came from an employee who was fired for incompetence, and no one else heard the racial slur.  Ms. Deen denied using the word in her presence and she apologized.  In three words : let      it        go.
I don't believe I will frequent the stores who feel the need to boycott Ms. Deen.  Let it go. She has apologized ad nauseum. Leave her alone.  And if you get the chance- make her pecan pie recipe.  You'll thank me later.

Yet Another Opportunity for Obama to Leech from the American Taxpayer

Does anyone remember the Black Panthers standing in front of a voting place with clubs?  Does anyone remember what happened to those two fellows who were clearly intimidating any would be voters?  No? Well, in two words: jack squat.
It was a non issue to Eric Holder. I'm certain that if there had been guys in white robes that were swinging clubs in front of a voting area, then Eric Holder would have pulled a Janet Reno and burned them to the ground like she did in Waco and the Branch Davidian compound.
 I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning, it makes everything smell like Washington D.C. doesn't it?
Speaking of hypocrisy, when is the last time that you took your spouse, two children, Mother in law and three nieces and nephews on a one hundred million dollar vacation and got some other mark, sap, taxpayer to pick up the tab?  Especially when the country is in the middle of a sequestration that you dreamed up!
While the msm has done a remarkable job enabling the Obamas, can you imagine the outrage if President Bush had decided to take a tax payer funded vacation with every mooching relative he could dig up?  For that matter, if Barbara Bush had been invited to sponge, mooch, live in the White House with her children, can you imagine the howling that would have come from the left?  I have no doubt that msnbc or one of those "news" stations would have kept a running tally on how much Mrs. Bush was costing the American taxpayer.
Obama and his mooching family need to go, and go now.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

O Thank God that Obama had the Foresight to Exclude Himself from the Sequester

Have you had to curtail your vacation plans because of the economy?  You aren't alone, many of us are either not going anywhere, or not going for as long as we would like to go.  That is, if we can even afford to go in the first place.  I am hoping to see the ocean later this summer, but right now, that's iffy.  Of course, if I could sucker the taxpayers , keep myself out of the sequester, and know that the good old American taxpayers would have to foot the bill, I could be living high on the hog, like the Obama's.
I have been able to get out to the lake for a couple of weekends this summer, and I'm pretty happy with that.      If the msm were at all legitimate, they would be screaming this from the roof tops.  They only seem able to get their collective panties in a bunch when it directly affects them- like the Obama White House's tapping of their phone lines.

• According to U.S. Department of Defense’s published hourly rates for the C-32A aircraft used for the trip, Judicial Watch calculated the total cost to American taxpayers was $424,142 for use of the aircraft (34.8 flight hours x $12,188 per hour). (The C-32 is a specially configured military version of the Boeing 757.) Other expenses – meals (off the plane), transportation, security, various services, etc. – have yet to be disclosed.
• The passenger manifests confirm the presence of Obama’s daughter’s, Malia and Sasha on the trip. The two girls are listed as “Senior Staff.” The manifests also list Mrs. Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, and niece and nephew, Leslie and Avery Robinson, as well Mrs. Obama’s makeup and hairstylist (Carl Ray and Johnny Wright).
• The expense records also show $928.44 was spent for “bulk food” purchases on flight. Overall, during the trip, 192 meals were served for the 21 passengers on board.

When I read this, many many questions came to mind. 1) What kind of food are they serving on this flight?  2) Why couldn't someone pack some sandwiches for the flight.  That's what I do. 3) Why are the extended family of the current administration on this trip? Why should we have to pay for them? 4) If President Bush had decided to take his daughters on a Spring Break vacation with thirty or so of their closest pals, would the msm have been this acquiescent?  In a word: no.
They were wetting themselves every time the Bush family went home to Texas for a vacation.  The place where they live, where they were from and where it costed very little tax payer money to accommodate.  Silly Bushes.
Are you struggling financially?  A lot of people are, these are ridiculously hard times right now.  I have many more people coming into my store to sell things than to buy them, it seems.  Thanks to obamacare- many jobs are scheduling people for 30 hours or less so that they don't have to provide them insurance.  Can you feed your family on thirty hours a week?  That is part time, and now people are going to have to find another job, just to supplement the other job that they have.  There is no choice-they just got their pay cut by 25%!
But luckily, Obama had the foresight to exclude himself and his family from the effects of the sequester.  That was smart thinking on his part, no?
So if we are spending this much money just to fly the Obama's and their extended family to their latest vacay-how much does the actual trip set us back?? Demand answers from our elected officials.  You'll thank me later.

Illegal in Mexico

The Supreme Court struck down an Arizona law that required people to prove that they are an American before they can vote.  What was their tortured logic?  There is already a law like that in the federal laws, so the Arizona law wasn't needed.  Riiiiight.
Is there a cognizant person alive today who doesn't know that B.O. stole the last election?  From voter suppression to carrying 100% of the vote in districts in Pennsylvania to receiving  108% of the vote in districts in Ohio (not too surprisingly, the states with suspicious ballot issues are all states with many electoral votes up for grabs) there is widespread evidence that B.O. simply took his Chicago style vote machine tactics onto a national scale.
When it was proven that Kennedy had in fact stolen votes in the election vs. Nixon- the media yawned.  Kennedy was their golden boy.  That is, when he wasn't enjoying one of his numerous peccadillos with mob connections, using drugs excessively to control his lower back pain, or trading Marylin Monroe to his younger brother, of course.  For the msm to write anything that would cast Kennedy in a bad light would be the same as being ex-communicated.  They just wouldn't take the chance.
But the so called 'gang of eight' came up with an asinine plan to let the millions of illegals in our country stay by paying a fine, and receiving a brisk slap on the risk.  They even tricked the leading Senate moron Marco Rubio into being the mouth piece for this stupidity.  I read that Senator Schumer bragged that the liberals would write the legislation and Rubio would write the talking points
.Wow! So Rubio has alienated the very people who put him in office so that the liberals could use him like a sanitary pad and throw him away.  Not a great career move for Mr. Rubio, was it?
If an illegal alien sneaks across the United States border successfully, they are awarded with welfare, a free education for their children, free food, free housing, and living conditions that are fifty times better than the armpit that they left behind them.  Nice deal, no?  Plus- the minute that they drop an "anchor baby" on American soil, they are entitled to a host of benefits all courtesy of those of us who are paying taxes and the bills.
However, if you are caught living in Mexico illegally-or even crossing Mexico illegally to get to the the United States gravy train it is considered a felony.  You will go to a Mexican jail and serve time that is harsher than anything allowed in the United States.
Only people with a marketable skill are allowed to live and work in Mexico.  There is no sneaking into their country and stealing their resources.  If you don't have a job skill that they need, you have zero chance of being allowed there.
 They have quotas, as well.  If the number of immigrants would upset the balance of their racial numbers, then the immigrants are not allowed.  They have a majority of brown people and they mean to keep it that way.
So why doesn't the United States of America simply adopt a mirror and reciprocating immigration policy?  Whatever the country from which the Illegal Alien is coming will be the law that applies to the illegal caught in the United States of America.  Call and ask your elected officials why we don't do that.  You'll thank me later.

...And That's Why I Carried the Ax to Work

I did my friend a favor.  He needed to get rid of some fluorescent bulbs and he asked me to throw them in my trash. I said I would (and no, I don't care if I just released fifteen pounds of carcinogens into the atmosphere) and he gave me an ax to use the handle so that I could break them up.  Not a problem, he's a good friend, I know that he would do the same for me.

I put the bulbs in my trash and then gently tapped them with the handle.  I was wearing safety glasses that protected my face, Momma, and I made sure to wear gloves and a long sleeve shirt.  In about five minutes, the bulbs were broken and my trashcan was set to the curb.  I thought no more about it. 

Today, I remembered to bring the ax back to friend I had done the favor for.  That may be the highlight of my week, so much so, that I start carrying an ax back and forth from work to home.

First, my annoying neighbor with the biting dog snatched that dog inside.  He only got out one half of one annoying yip, and the neighbor had the dog air born.  The last notes of the yip are still hanging in the air like one of those word bubbles in a comic book. (Graphic novel, sorry) I despise the little biting rat.  I laughed out loud.

Next, the crazy neighbor who always talks about something from 1978 suddenly remembered something inside and didn't even call out to me.  I'm thinking that the ax is the best accessory since my keys.  It's not that heavy, and people really do seem to notice it.  The folks who walk two wide on the sidewalk all made a path for me.  It was great.

Finally, at the curb, not one car seemed to have a problem with me walking across the street.  No one rushed into the intersection.  No one stopped ten inches away while I crossed.  No one made eye contact.  It was fantastic!  Kind of like walking in my own little world.  I may have to start bringing an ax back and forth more often.  If you get the chance, try it.
And before I forget, enjoy your Holiday weekend.  Every single time that I look up at the fireworks, I remember displays from times past.  It's my own little time travelling device.  From fireworks in Lake City, Florida to Chicago at Great Lakes Naval Base (where the guy stood in front of the display and took his leg off at the knee) I remember who I was with (once my best friend in the whole world where we traded burgers for beers and another time I was with the first love of my life.) Another great fireworks display was at Disney World.  That was quite possibly the best fire works I have ever seen.  They set them to the 1812 Overture.  Breathtaking.  So celbrate all that is wonderful about our Republic.  Just leave the ax out of your commute.  You'll thank me later.

Online Losers-or A View From Your Mom's Basement

I spend a fair amount of time relaxing by reading online articles and the comments that come after them. I have been known to comment on a piece or five, especially when something incredibly stupid is said.  I have even been drawn into little comment spats, it's a great way to feel better about yourself.  If I couldn't out debate some liberal loser, I would probably have stopped writing this ages ago.  The loser in question that I have been laughing at this week goes by the name Shelley. Now Shelley might be a female, might be male.  I cannot promise human, more likely liberal.
I had posted that I am able to eat for about $1.50 a day and because Shelley clearly went to school in a failing district, this person wasn't able to do the math.  In one of those annoying habits that people think help them win a debate, this person simply posted the same regurgitated talking points over and over. Pathetic comes to mind. So Shelley- here you go, I will explain how it is possible to eat for $1.50 a day.
I buy generic and store brands most of the time, so the cereal that I buy costs $1.99 for about 12 servings.  The almond milk that I drink costs $2.39 for 8 servings. I just had breakfast for $.48
Lunch is hit or miss with me, I usually grab a container of yogurt and a piece of fruit.  The yogurt is the store brand, I but them for $.38.  The fruit usually sets me back about  $.11. I have just spent another $.49 for lunch.  I hope that I haven't lost the logically challenged-like this Shelley- but so far I have spent $.97 to eat for the day.
I work long hours, I have said that many many times.  I am not complaining,(most of the time) I am just putting it out there to explain my life. I am thankful that I have work, especially in B.O.'s economy.  I know a lot of people who are sinking further and further.  But on Sundays, I like to relax by cleaning and cooking.  I also enjoy working in my yard.  I know, I know, I used to be cool.  But I enjoy it, it relaxes me, hush.
On Sundays, quite often I will fix something that I can eat all week.  My Mother has said that she couldn't eat the same thing over and over, but since I just pick the first thing on top in the freezer, it really doesn't matter what I am eating, I'm hungry.  I do all of the shopping for my house, there isn't anything there that I don't like.  But back to Sundays.  Most of them will find me at some point making a huge pot of soup, or some sort of dish that I will eat for the majority of the week.
This past Sunday found me in the kitchen making vegetable soup.  I use a lot of the vegetables that I grow myself and have put up.  So- I added corn, green beans, carrots, celery, and potatoes.  I didn't grow the celery.  To this I added tomatoes, (homegrown) and acorn squash.  I used the largest pot in my house and it'll be supper for at least 8 days. The celery cost me $.14.  I did add salt and pepper, so I am thinking all together, I have soup to eat for an evening meal for at least a week at $.38 a bowl.  So-$1.35 a day to eat and I'm not starving by any means. It can be done, and it's not gruel either.  I don't live on a farm, far from it. Try to grow a garden if you can, even container gardens are better than nothing when you're pressed for space.  And avoid this idiot, Shelley- you'll thank me later.

If Liberals Are So Worried About Child Safety, Why AreThey Pro- Abortion?

I have watched, with mounting nausea, as B.O. surrounds himself with children.  Hitler used the same tactic, you can google pictures that look remarkably similar to the ones that b.o. uses to try and advance his agenda.  I don't buy it.
I think that having  a gun is a much better deterrent than soiling myself, using a "rape whistle" or any of the other stupid,    idiotic,  asinine ideas to come out of the current administration.  I don't think that a person who is hell bent on hurting me or my children will be stopped by me blowing a whistle.  I do think that they would be stopped by me blowing a hole in them.  I'm okay with that.
A group of parents got a free ride (free in that you and I are paying for it) on Air Force One if they were willing to stand on the bodies of their murdered children and moan for gun control.  I am truly sorry for the loss that these people have suffered.  I understand that the need to do something, to be be able to blame someone for this tragedy is overwhelming. But trying to take away my guns, my freedom, my second amendment rights, is not the answer.  Every one of the latest tragedies that have been ginned up by the msm have one common denominator: a crazy person.
Mental health issues have been the deciding factor in Gabriel Giffords being shot, in the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting, and also in the Sandy Hook tragedy.  It wasn't a high capacity clip that killed these people, it was a crazy, insane whackjob with a gun.  Blame the people who should have seen them coming apart at the seams.  Blame the stupidity of having guns around a person who has proven mental issues.  Blame the A.C.L.U.  for making it harder to put insane people in an institution.  But leave my guns alone.  I may be the person to stop the next rampage.  Or it could be someone like me, a person with a concealed carry permit who has the ability, and the will to stop a crazy person with a gun by using their own weapon.
But back to B.O.- he is very, very worried about "the children."  He is afraid for their safety.  He must be, he surrounds himself with "the children" every time he needs another photo op.  So why is he pro-abortion?
B.O. has absolutely no problem with a baby being partially born, and then having a needle inserted into his or her brain. and killed.  He would hate for one of his daughters to be burdened with an unwanted child.  He actually said that.  Of course, having seen how much those two look like their mother, the only way there will be any sort of pregnancy, planned or unplanned, will be with a large bottle of an alcoholic beverage. And a dark room.
So what age is it that a child deserves to be protected from death?  Is it one month? Six?  Because it certainly isn't while they are being born, that's for sure.  According to B.O., they are still a burden at this point.  Maybe it's when they are cute and can pose for pictures.  Yep, I bet that's it.
