Walmart Closes Stores Because of Aliens From OuterSpace!!!

I'm not one for following the network news.  I don't believe the spin that they put on the very news that I read unadulterated earlier in the day.  If I want a spin, I'll go to the carnival.  That being said- I am reading horror story after horror story about the heartless corporation known as Walmart closing five stores with almost no notice to its employees.
I have read that Walmart closed five stores because of plumbing issues.  I have also read that they were closed to facilitate B.O.'s invasion exercise.  I have read that they will be detention facilities.  I don't believe a word of it.
If I had a dog in the fight-my guess would be that five stores had recently voted to unionize.  If they were stupid enough to do that, they voted themselves out of a job.  The economy sucks or hadn't anyone told them lately?  If they foolishly believed the media, then more is the pity.  How does that unemployment feel now?  Of course they got a smidgen of severance pay. But they would probably rather have jobs, huh?
What did they think those unions were going to give them, anyway? $12 an hour to start?? Good luck with that.  I am not now or will I ever be a huge fan of Walmart, but less so am I a fan of unions.  Kind of a toss right?  But five stores have closed their doors and I don't really believe it's a plumbing issue.  But you know, if those associates tore something up hoping to get some kind of leverage, they look even dumber now, don't they?
Walmart is not a job for the faint hearted. Retail in general means you will be dealing with people that have never been taught  basic manners, and management that doesn't care.  The only way to survive working for a faceless corporation is to leave the job when you clock out.  You cannot make it personal, you have to leave it at the door.
But if  Walmart has closed five stores because of unionization- then good for them.  That's what they did when the meat cutters unionized.  They stopped doing that in the stores and let those people go.  They sent all of their meat through giant facilities that cut the meat there and then shipped it to the stores.  Why wouldn't they?
People shop at Walmart for one reason: low prices.  When Walmart stops providing the lowest prices they will go the way of K-mart.  Unions will promise ridiculous wage increases ( and they better be to cover those forced union dues) and then when Walmart gets the demand, they say no.  So when the unions threaten strikes ( the only arrow in their quiver) then the world's largest retailer closes the doors.  Pretty simple, huh?
I thank God everyday that I don't have to work there anymore.  The less I have to deal with either of those entities-the better.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

Heterosexuals Have Rights Too or Why are 6 and a Half Million People Telling the Rest of Us What to Do?

I am not a pro homosexual person.  I know people that chose to be in same sex relationships, I even consider some of them friends.  Do I think that they were born that way? Nope. Not one of them.
I do think that they have suffered from some sort of trauma that caused them to react by rejecting the heterosexual sex they should have.
Let the hate mail begin.
First, homosexuality is not nearly as common as one would expect it to be.  I don't watch television and I cannot escape the pervasive agenda to make homosexuality normal.  It isn't that common at all.  In the most recent survey that I could find, 2.4% of the population identified as homosexual.  That comes out to 6450760.12 people.  Yes, you read that right.  Less than 6.5 million people have decided that the rest of us must accept their choices.  Or else.
It helps that B.O. has lost every other demographic and must now go mining for someone, anyone to still think of him favorably.  Pathetic.  I have friends that think of it as a tolerance issue.  How nice for them.  There is a pizza shop in Indiana that could tell you all about the 'tolerance' they received when they refused to cater a homosexual event.  There is also a florist that went out of business after being overwhelmed with "tolerance" for having an opinion about homosexuality that didn't sit well with those who would shove it down our throats.
When researching the numbers for this, I read countless studies about the actual number of homosexuals.  I discounted every study that included prison experiences.  No offense to our incarcerated population, but the idea that the prisons can give us an accurate count of the amount of homosexuals in our country is laughable.
When I would run across a pro homosexual study, it would almost always tout the number 10 %.  And that number is accurate so long as you include those who had homosexual relationships while confined to jail cells and never had a homosexual encounter after that. Just give me the data, I don't need outliers in the numbers.
It would be the same as polling right outside a McDonald's to find out how many meat eaters we have in our country.
So now that we are looking at the real numbers- about 2.4%, we can destroy another liberal meme about homosexuality.  It is nothing like the civil rights movement.  People of all sorts were discriminated against-blacks, Asians, even Irish.  I have often said that Catholicism is one of the few religions it is acceptable to disparage. Sexual orientation is not a protected status.  At least it shouldn't be.  Make your choices and live with them.  I shouldn't have to bake you a cake for your dress up party if it's my business. Find another baker who wants to.  See how easy that was?
In several studies of twins that I was able to find in nanoseconds (thanks Internet!) only half of the maternal twins in the comprehensive study were both homosexual.  How can that be if homosexuality is something that you are "born " with?  In the case of maternal twins, they are exactly the same biologically speaking. An exact match if you will.  Only in half of the cases were both twins homosexual.  That shoots down the idea that anyone is born that way.  You can't argue with the numbers.
Live your life.  If you chose to be a homosexual, good for you.  But it doesn't make you a protected class of folks, and you don't get more rights than other people get.  If you have a partner and want to protect them-make a will.  Get insurance and name them as the beneficiary.  See how easy that was?
If you want to have a dress up day and decide to have the same last name, then fine.  But you aren't married, you are delusional if you think that you are.  It takes one of each.  If you think I'm wrong then the two of you should go make a baby and prove to me and science that we're wrong.  Oh, you can't? I guess that just like marriage- making a baby takes one of each.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

The Ted Cruz Roast

Ted Cruz is making things very difficult for the msm.  He is clearly conservative enough to please those that drive the Republican Party's enthusiasm levels.  He is well spoken, and to date he has been able to avoid all of the foot in mouth problems that some conservative candidates have stumbled through.
Ted Cruz makes it very difficult for the msm.  If his eligibility is questioned (and it has been by some irony challenged) then it raises the humongous double standard that Obama's ineligibility and fraud were proven conclusively  https://youtu.be/XWmWO18GTc8  and the media simply chose to ignore it.
If forensic specialists had been involved in President Bush's military service questions, Dan Rather might still have a job, huh?
I agree with many of the things that Senator Cruz says.  I disagree with some, but he is head and shoulders better than the hot mess we are stuck with for now.
I love that there are those who claim Senator Cruz doesn't have enough experience yet.  These are the same unprepossessing folks who thought that Barrak Hussein Sotaro Obama was just hunky dory and the second coming.
Remember the swooning? The reported 'cool factor' that Obama had?  I still shudder at the idea that he would be the 'smartest guy in the room.'  How small is that room anyway?
I still like Paul Ryan, he was the best part of Mitt Romney's unending run for the White House.  He has great ideas and an impeccable reputation.  I trust him when he tells me something.  I wouldn't trust B.O. to make change for a dollar.
How about if we quit using all of these liberal double standards?  How about if we just hear the truth-all of the truth- about the people that want to lead our country? It would be so refreshing if the media removed themselves from the process and just told me the facts.
It wasn't that long ago that the Harry Reid questioned the ethnicity of Mr. Cruz.  That was another under reported story for the media.  It didn't fit in with their narrative, I guess.  Of course, Mr. Reid's comments about B.O. not having a "negro dialect" were also seriously under reported.
Think for yourself and get your information from many sources.  You'll thank me later.

Nice to be Back

I didn't use my internet during Lent. It was a nice break and a great chance to realize how much time that I waste online.  Of course, my blood pressure was a little lower because I wasn't paying attention to ow badly Obama was screwing us over as a nation, but all good things must come to an end, I suppose.  Several things happened in my absence, and luckily I have an opinion for all of it.
First of all, I got rid of the tenants that were not good.  I will not miss the Hess' there I said it.  In the interest of avoiding any sort of litigation all I will say is that I will not rent to them again. I suppose that is why they didn't use me as a reference to the next sucker that they rented from, isn't it?
I have been interviewing potential tenants for the last two weeks and I don't have a very high opinion of people in general.
I cannot believe that I am surprised, of course.  Yes, I check references.  Here is a tip: pay your bills.  I had a couple that paid a deposit, and then backed out of the lease.  He would have been a long walk to take, if you understand what I mean.  I am not sorry that the lease didn't work out.  In this area, the ground is wet.  You get that when the town is built on a swamp.  A small bit of water in the basement is normal.  Wanting to get sideways about it isn't.
I had forgotten how ignorant people can be.  Yes, you have to pay your own utilities.  Yes, that is a lot of money- have you been to the grocery store lately?  In spite of the party line, yes, there is rampant inflation.  Welcome to the world.
On another note, the greatest dog in the world-Caliope- is fat and sassy.  She is probably on a chair right now, since I'm not home.  Imagine that.
I don't understand how Iran having nuclear weapons can be good for anyone.  Isn't it strange that the same idiot who wants to take away my guns has absolutely no problem allowing an insane area to have the ability to wipe out Israel.  Shame on any moron that voted for him.  Including the dead ones who left their graves to pull a Kennedy and vote for him twice.
But I guess that's enough for now.  Happy belated Easter.

It's Official- Don't Rent to Tiana or Erik Frick!

I had a couple of tenants a few years ago that seemed okay.  She worked, he didn't. I guess that is good work if you can get it. I have never run across that particular sugar momma/daddy deal, so I have always dragged my happy butt to work.  But anyway-
I rented to the Fricks with the understanding that they had two dogs.  They were supposed to be there for a year, pay by the fifth of the month and not tear anything up.  Well then.
They were late for six of the eight months that they rented from me.  In the end, they went to some church that he went to, and that church paid their rent.  They told me that they were going to visit his parents for the weekend in October, and they never came back.
I waited for two weeks and then I tried to call the people that they had used as references.  One hung up on me and the other never returned my many many messages.  I went into the apartment after two weeks and I found a disaster.  There were piles of food on the counter.  Dirty dishes in the sink and piles of clothes everywhere.  No room was clean.  Upstairs, there were puppy pads with urine and feces on the floor.
Let's not even start on the bugs they left behind.  But best of all was the time we spent in court.  On the first day, she stood up in front of the judge and said (with a straight face) that she knew she owed me some, but couldn't believe it would be so much! I guess she didn't bother reading those papers that she signed.  (Here's a tip- always read the lease you sign!
Then she said that she couldn't get off from work so could we reschedule it?  We did, for another Thursday four weeks down the line.  She tried for another delay and was rejected.  Finally, she gets to court and asks for a trial.  Again, she simply cannot believe that she is being held responsible for the lease that she signed.
We had our day in court.  I started by introducing the lease that she signed. I pointed out the clause that she still had to pay if she quit the lease early.  Next, I introduced the utilities that she stuck me with.  Then I showed the pictures of the piles of filth that they left behind.  What was her response you ask?
She tried crying.  She said that the bugs were there when she moved in. The judge asked for any notes, messages, anything that would prove that she told me about the problem.  Nope. Nada. She also tried saying that she had to leave because her father was sick.  There were more tears at this point, but my eyes were rolling so badly that I may have missed some of them.
In the end, I won everything that I has asked for and then some.  She would have been better off just agreeing to pay what I was originally suing her for, it was five hundred dollars less.
So if you get yourself in a bind with your landlord-don't just cut and run.  We will find you.  And then you will have to pay everything you owed, and eight percent interest!  I haven't had anything pay that high of an interest  rate since Ronald Reagan was president. Hot damn.
Think about it, you'll thank me later.
And a special Happy Birthday to my youngest bundle of joy.  I love you David Alexandre!

Don't Bother With a Flu Shot

I hate shots. I have had to have many of them and I know for a fact that I could never ever be a junkie if it meant giving myself injections. No "high" is worth that silliness.  But I bought into the propaganda this year and paid good money for a flu shot. I might as well have taken the money to a casino for all that I have to show for it.
It started not soon after my birthday.  I knew it wasn't from over indulging, I barely indulged.  So I thought maybe it was a cold. No luck. I was running a temperature of 103 for six days. Acetaminophen would knock the fever back, but it never successfully killed it.
Then there were the lovely side effect. I won't give you too much detail but I will tell you this: when vomiting and diarrhea strike at the exact same time- you have to make a choice.  Neither choice will be good.  Ask my cat.
When I finally broke down and saw my doctor-he told me that the flu shot was zero percent effective this year-in his opinion. I won't get another one unless it comes with a money back guarantee.  And as for those people who told me it was probably less severe because of the shot- I would ask which part was less severe? The 11 days of nausea? Or maybe it was the earache, sore throat, runny nose or stuffed head that was lessened. Nope. I know my chest wasn't less congested because of the shot.  I tool so much medicine that it ended up jacking my blood pressure up 86 points.  Yeah, it was less alright.
I understand that it is a guessing game when they concoct the formula for the flu shot. I know that there are a lot of algorithms involved and that it isn't a perfect science.  I would have done better to just drink schnapps.  At least I would have been getting more sleep.
But maybe there is some lucky soul out there who was helped by the shot. How nice for them.  It sure wasn't me- I can tell you that.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

Birdman is Proof that the Oscars are Moronic

I am not saying that Birdman isn't a good movie.  Micheal Keaton should have been nominated for his role in Clean and Sober.  He was and will always be Batman to me.  But  the Oscars are too political, just like every other narcissistic awards program that Hollywood dreams up to make itself seem more relevant.
The Dixie Chick got a Grammy two minute before they imploded, remember?
I saw American Sniper a few days before I was waylaid with the flu and it was an amazing piece of story telling.  Clint Eastwood hasn't missed a step in his craft.  Not only did it show the raw heroism of an amazing Patriot- Chris Kyle- it also showed his flaws.  It didn't deviate from the book that much and it wasn't a long drawn out maudlin affair.  Can you imagine if an idiot like Micheal Moore had made the movie?  For one thing, it wouldn't have made a tenth of the box office that it has, and for another-it would have sucked.
Why does Hollywood have such a hard time showing the United States of America in a good light?  Is it because it rankles their sensibilities to attempt patriotism?  Or is it because they know deep in their heart of hearts that they hate America and all that she stands for?  My guess is on the latter.
I think of so many actors and the ignoring blathering and bleating that they make in an attempt to sound intelligent about world affairs.
All they really do is get in an echo chamber and repeat the same things ad nauseum to each other.  No wonder they are always surprised to discover that they are out of step with the majority of people.  No matter- they keep on keeping on, so to speak.  The Nazi propaganda machines have nothing on Hollywood.  They can take a lie and make it into gospel in the blink of an eye. (I can see Russia from my house.)
I don't care about the clothes that they wear.  Am I the only one who irony in Hollywood types yapping for income equality as they wear dresses and jewels that cost more than the average American paid for their house? I don't think so.  I don't begrudge them the necklace or the earrings.  But shut up your whining for oppressed people unless you are going to be donating those jewels to a soup kitchen.  For that matter- how much of that $160,000 "goody bag" are you donating? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/oscars/11388210/Whats-in-the-80000-Oscars-2015-goody-bag.html
There are two sets of rules for liberals, never forget that.  You'll thank me later.

AT&T Sucks. Here Is Why

The stupid town that I live in doesn't have a lot of options if you want services that other people take for granted.  It has three internet providers. AT&T is one of them.  The other two are over priced options.  I could use cable (if I sell a kidney) or the one the city offers (recycled service from another provider with their fees added to it)  I am stuck with AT&T.  I use the wifi so that I am not tethered to my register.  AT&T sucks.
They used to have DSL which was stupid fast and inexpensive.  I could access my internet from anywhere I happened to be.  Then they went to UVerse.  I despise UVerse.  It is slower. It costs three times more.  If it rains, I have no internet for periods.  If it is foggy, I have no service for periods of time.  If it snows, well you see the pattern here, right?  I know how the tech guy takes his coffee.  That's how often he is here.
I pay the internet ransom through my automated pay option from my bank.  This morning, I had no internet service.  I called AT&T.  They said I hadn't paid my bill.  I told them I had, I would pay the new bill on the 10th when it was due.  AT&T said I hadn't and suggested I check with my bank.  I called my bank.  The lady on the phone looked up my account and then gavce me the routing number used to pay AT&T for their sub standard service.  I called back.  First I got the person that I couldn't understand.  Then I got the person who was an idiot.  Then I finally got the supervisor. That was James.  James told me there was nothing that AT&T could do until I paid my bill. Again.  So I asked to speak to his supervisor.  Apparently James runs the place, because his supervisor would have to be alerted and I would receive a call within 24 hours.  That was incredibly unhelpful.  So I called back.  Same drill.  First person spoke English as a first language, but had such a grudge that she had to deal with people, I asked for her supervisor.  Guess who I got?  Yep, James the poster child for inept.  So Then I was transferred to billing.  The only way that AT&T would turn my service on was if  I paid another payment on top of the one I had already made.  I had no choice, I paid the ransom.
Two hours later, still no service.  I called again.  Finally service.
But tomorrow, I get to track down my payment and then I won't get my money back, I just won't have to pay them next month. Lucky me.
AT&T sucks.  If you have any other option besides them, take it.  You'll thank me later.

Please Start Drugging Kanye West

I wrote an opinion piece a few weeks ago about Hollywood and their unending need to have their own approval.  One "awards" program after another, as they narcissistically beg for attention from other people.  I don't care what they wear.  I don't care who wins.  I don't care who says what to whom now or after.  Once in a blue moon, someone will say something intelligent and thought provoking.  Not often enough for me to watch 3+ hours of it, however.
Last week they had the Grammy Awards and once again, the most prolific racist/ media whore managed to ruin someone else's moment.
If you recall,  Kanye tried to ruin the moment for Taylor Swift.  He came out and took her award for a moment, all the while bloviating on how Beyonce should have won.  What an idiot. Not happy with that, he then when on a stupidity tour claiming the death threats, and other reactions had made him depressed. Lesson not learned.
Last night, another person who didn't get Kanye's personal approval won the award.  Once again, he went on another anal rant  that the person who in fact won was not Beyonce.  What an idiot. People at first thought he was making a joke of it. No such luck.
Not happy with the size of ass he had made of himself, afterwards he babbled further about the injustice of his chosen artists not winning and more random crap.  All the while, his psuedo celebrity wife looked on with pain.
Isn't there any security at these things?  Or is it possible that someone can just rush onto the stage whenever the mood strikes them once they are backstage?  Either way, it is foolish.
How many more times will this over rated racist be allowed to ruin the evening of the person who won?  Maybe a Thorazine dart gun next year.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.

Are They Feeding Cows Unicorn Dust?

I love cow meat. When God invented beef he was having a great day, let me tell you.  I love rare beef, it is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.  But I don't love it enough to sell a kidney to purchase it, and that's the going rate these days.
I don't know why we cannot call the E-85 experiment quits and go back to using corn to feed the cows.  I don't believe for one minute that ethanol has anything to do with the current drop in fuel prices. The one and only reason that oil is dropping is because of fracking. Saudi Arabia cannot compete with us when it comes to all of the different energy resources that we have.  Fracking makes sense for us at the moment because oil has been driven to stupids heights.  When the price of oil becomes reasonable again (with no thanks to B.O. of course) than fracking will probably slow down.  Not that the oil will go bad of course.  We have it, and knowing that we do should stop some of those countries that hate us from being able to hold us hostage again.
It's not as if they can start growing wheat or anything like that.  As Sam Kennison pointed out it was sand.  In a thousand years it will still be sand.
Do you remember how much extra money OPEC had in the eighties?  That's right-not much.  They didn't have anything extra to give away to the people that hate us and would do us harm.  What does that tell you?
A solution of sorts was ethanol.  It hasn't been much help for many reasons.  Not the least of which is that if you do run ethanol in your vehicle, you must run a tank of premium pretty regularly, so what have you saved? Nothing, that's what.
A friend of mine works for the railroad.  every week he is driving a train of corn to an ethanol plant.  That same corn that could be making beef is going toward a substandard fuel that is not cost efficient to use.  How dumb is that?
Instead of forcing ethanol on us, how about if we drill our own oil?  Fracking has proven that it works-just look at the pumps right now.  Think about it, you'll thank me later.
