Mrs. Marsha Lee (Baker) Rose, born on August 15, 1939, in Wolcottville, Indiana, to the late Beverly McCullough Baker Heiser and the late Paul Baker, joined the love of her life, Jerry Rose, on May 30, 2019, in Maricopa, Arizona.
She leaves behind one hellacious bread recipe and many heartbroken family members. Marsha was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Rose and her son, Robert James Slone. She is survived by her sons, Mitchell J Baker and his wife Deborah, their children and grandchildren Doug and Kathy Albert (Kenny,Gabe and Doug) Vic and Angie Soliz (Cassandra and Hannah) Chad Baker, Breanna, (Arabella, Cejay,Charlie, Carter and Coby) Bradley Baker and his partner Theresa, and Eric and Sarah Baker (Paloma, Sonny, and Eli) Ken Stutzman and his wife Fran, Marvin Lee Slone, and her son Kevin Slone and his wife Sandee (Justin and Deandra and their son Konner and Brenton Slone and his partner Laura) But wait! there is more! She also leaves a daughter Shawna Stringfellow (Keith Banks, his children Kaitlyn, Stephen Micheal and Samuel, Steven and Sara Lackey, and James and Samantha Lackey and his children Alex and Skylar) Finally there is her daughter Milissa, and on that note, she decided to call it quits. Milissa has three sons,(Joshua Tingler, James Benson V and David Alexandre Benson)
She also leaves behind her sisters, Judith (and Charlie) Irving, Diana(and Ron) Richards, Johanna Arkle, Melody Couture, Rhonda (and Hardy)Jones, Gail (and Coby)Hornback, Tammera Sutterby, and Kim Sutterby, and one brother Robert (and Clara) Sturges. She also left a dear friend in her cousin, Sandra Clark.
Momma was an avid reader, she seldom ate a meal without a book. She and her late husband Jerry raised Dachsunds and tropical fish. She was also the best cook that God has graced upon this planet. Her pies were legendary, she was deadly with a wooden spoon, in and out of the kitchen.
She was fierce, loving, sharp-witted, impatient, and she will be missed by every child, grandchild, great-grandchild, cousin, sister, and brother of hers. Please don't smoke! COPD ended her life, cigarettes were the only thing she could not beat.
She leaves a legacy of advice, Christmas cookies, and love. We will miss her until the end of our days.
